Wetlands of Sikkim
Sikkim , a small state in the Eastern Himalayas has only natural inland wetlands belonging to the category lakes/ponds. The state has 227 high altitude lakes (wetlands) which are basically small and shallow. M ost of it are fed by glaciers and considered sacred.
